Requirements to apply for a Montana Real Estate License

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide evidence of completion of 10th grade from an accredited high school or equivalent
• Complete 60 hours of pre-licensing instruction within the last 24 months from a school and instructor approved by the Board.
• Pass the Montana Salesperson Broker Real Estate Examination with a score of 80% on the uniform portion and 70% on the state portion within the last 12 months.
• Pay all necessary pre-licensing education and licensing fees
• Maintain 12 hours continuing education credits annually
